Style 8093 DSA Pump Packing

Style 5000

A tough, but low abrasion carbon fiber packing impregnated with PTFE and treated with a high-temperature break-in lubricant. Developed for long service against strong caustics, acids, slurries and any application where contamination is prohibited. A favorite of the pulp and paper industry. Applications include: slip joints, mixers, agitators, reactors, autoclaves, centrifugal pumps and hydro-electric turbines. Service includes strong caustics, acids, stock, bleach, hypo and slurries.

This high-density, dimensionally stable packing absorbs very little water and is well-suited to valve and slower shaft speed applications, such as check and needle valve stems, reciprocating rods, rams and plungers and rotary applications.
